I can hardly believe that it has already been one year since Fat Pitch Financials was first created. Fat Pitch Financials is my first blog. It started out as a way to keep myself organized and share my investment discoveries with family and friends, but it has grown beyond that now.
Originally, I got about 250 unique visitors per month, but the popularity of Fat Pitch Financials has grown exponentially. Last month I received over 1,400 unique visitors. If you have any friends or family that have not yet discovered Fat Pitch Financials, send them a quick email with a link to Fat Pitch Financials. I bet they will appreciate it.
To celebrate this one year anniversary, I have organized all my past posts by subject. I encourage you to explore some of my old articles that you may have missed. You can find them organized by date and by subject in new archives page.
This past year has been focused on my recent discovery of going private transactions. I plan on exploring other opportunities in special situations and arbitrage this coming year. In addition, I also plan on refocusing on companies with strong competitive advantages. These wide moat companies are where I want to have the majority of my fund invested eventually. The challenge is being ready to identify these excellent businesses when the stock market drops so that you can invest with significant margins of safety.
I welcome your feedback and enjoy discussing investing with others. Recently, I have had the opportunity to chat with several of my readers, including Bill Mann of the Motley Fool. I look forward to meeting and talking with more of you in the future. I want to thank you for making this blog an excellent and enjoyable experience. I hope you continue to enjoy Fat Pitch Financials as the quest to find dollar bills for 40 cents takes us to new and exciting places.
