Ultimate 2008 Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting Guide
If you couldn’t make the 2008 Berkshire Hathaway (BRKa) (BRKb) annual meeting to experience Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger first hand, then I hope that the following guide can again offer the next best thing to being there in person.
We can kick off this year’s meeting with the press release and the Q1 quarterly report for Berkshire Hathaway.
I also got word of a Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting after party at Nomad Lounge.

PS: Can someone pick me up a deck of the Berkshire ballsball like cards for charity that I heard about? I’ll pay for the cost and shipping.
When is the 2009 annual meeting. How can I reserve a room? This would be my first.
Ellen Adelman
When is the 2009 annual meeting?? When and where can I make reservations?? Is it too early?? I really want to attend next year. HELP
Judy
I would think it would be safe to assume that the annual meeting would be the same weekend in May next year. I don’t believe however that there has been an official announcement of the exact date of the 2009 meeting. I’ll let you know here when I find out the exact date of next year’s Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Meeting. If I remember correctly, the 2008 date was announced on the Berkshire Hathaway website sometime during the middle of the summer of 2007.
Please tell me the date of the 2009 meeting and the name of the hotel that is closest to the Annual Meeting place.
Please let us know when the 2009 Shareholders Annual Meeting is scheduled. We really are looking forward to attending in 2009. Many thanks.
Susan
There’s also a notable quotes edition from Berkshire and Wesco meetings at:

I did not receive notice of the 2008 annual meeting until after it was too late to make plans to atend. Please tell me where and when the 2009 annual meeting will be held. How do I make reservations? Thank you. I am a relatively new brka-brkb shareholder.
Just like everyone else, I would love to find out when and where the 2009 annual meeting will be held?? any help as to how to determine this is greatly appreciated!
thanks!
Carol from NJ..a new shareholder!
Please tell me how to make reservations for accommodations and attending the 2009 Annual meeting.
Bev
Please tell me why you post questions at the bottom of the ‘Ultimate 2008 Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting Guide’ page with no answer.
When is the 2009 meeting?
Thank you.
We’ll learn more about the date of the 2009 meeting later this summer. For now, practice being patient. It’s an important skill for value investing.
The 2009 Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting will be on May 2, 2009.
Are shareholders allowed to bring a guest to the annual meeting? Can the guest attend all the same events? I am a new shareholder.
Great summary of the annual shareholder meeting! Are you planning on attending this year? I can’t wait to see how many people will show up. The trend has been very clear over the last few years as financial advisors and money managers more interested in luring new client assets than listening to the Oracle have swarmed Omaha. With many of these guys underwater or out of business, attendance could drop by a lot – not to mention to effects of the recession.
Please tell me what should be done in order to attend the meeting. Since I am for Europe I am not quite sure what is the procedure in the US. The first thing to do is to buy a share. And then should I obtain some sort of a record of ownership, or will there be complete shareholders list at the event and my ID would work for indentification? I would appreciate if someone could help me here.
Can I buy a share now and still be able to attend the annual meeting in May 2009 ? I see that they have class A and class B shares. Are class B share holders eligible for attending the meeting ?
How many stocks (A or, B) do I need to own to attend the party?
You only need 1 A or B share to attend. In fact, you can even attend without owning any shares by being invited as a guest of a shareholder or buying a ticket on eBay if Berkshire Hathaway sells tickets there again. They have the past few years.
Is registration needed to attend the meeting? What do you mean by ‘shares’?
