Friday Funnies: The Story of the Federal Reserve System
I’m starting a new series that shares a comic strip every Friday that I’m calling the Friday Funnies. I’ll admit that most of these won’t be very funny, but they will end the week on a lighter tone and we really need that given the times we are living in.
The first comic will come from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Yes, the Federal Reserve actually produced a series of comic books. This first one focuses on what the Federal Reserve System is and how it is different from a regular bank.
Perhaps you or someone in your family has a checking or savings account at a local bank… 
… or perhaps someone in your family has recently taken out a loan at a bank to buy a car, for example. 
The Federal Reserve System (known as “the Fed”) is the nation’s central bank.
Next week the Friday Funnies comic will cover the roles of the Federal Reserve. I can’t wait to see the comments you have on these cheesy comics. Have fun with it.
