Back from Vacation

It was nice to take a week off and get away from it all. I didn’t completely escape everything, but it was nice to slow down and enjoy some time outdoors.

I noticed a good amount of discussion regarding FragranceNet.com and a comment regarding Refocus Group. Thank you for keeping up the discussion while I was gone.

Tonight, I will try to catch up on all the updates regarding going private transactions. I might not quite finish all the updates, but I plan on getting the list up-to-date by the end of this coming weekend.

I also just completed a transfer of this site to a new host, which will hopefully be a bit more reliable. I hope you did not experience any interruptions in service during the transfer. TheIcy.net will be providing free hosting service for Fat Pitch Financials. For a limited time, TheIcy.net is offering to set up others with free hosting accounts almost instantly. If you need a web host or are considering setting up your own blog, you might want to take advantage of this offer.

Finally, you might have noticed a new feature on Fat Pitch Financials. I just added a new page that allows you to subscribe to receive email notifications whenever any new articles are posted here. I have received several emails asking for this service, and I’m glad to now be able to offer email notifications in addition to an XML news feed.

  • Hi George..

I’m mad at myself for not finding out about “companies going private” a couple of years ago. What opportunities lost! Thanks to your website and Stuart’s “Cigarbutthunters” group, I can make a few less risky bucks.

I was over at the SEC website and found the following link: http://www.sec.gov/answers/gopriv.htm
It explains the process for the unfamiliar. It seems that come July, 2006, this option to “go private” will not be allowed. Bummer! I thought it could go on forever.
