FeedBurner Meetup

Friday, January 19th, 2007 | Site News with 2 Comments

I had a great time last night with the folks from the cutting-edge internet company, FeedBurner.  They hosted a meetup at Capital City Brewery for members of FAN, the FeedBurner Advertising Network. As you might have noticed, the ads in Fat Pitch Financials’ feed are served by FAN and help support my delivery of full text feeds.

I decided to attend last night’s meetup in order to meet some local bloggers and learn more about FeedBurner. I have been very interested in learning more about FeedBurner, the company, since I’ve been very impressed by their user support and customer relations. This is pretty unusual for most technology companies. FeedBurner always seems open to feedback and even takes the time to include small website publishers, like myself, when they are testing new products.

I have been using FeedBurner’s free services for over two years and I keep finding new uses for their services almost monthly.  Rick Klau did a great job talking us though the future roadmap of FeedBurner developments that publishers can expect in the next few months. I plan on following up soon with Rick to discuss FeedBurner’s competitive position and long-term strategy. I’ll share my finding with you here in the near future.

As for meeting other bloggers, the turnout was rather light.  However, I did get to meet Raoul Pop of ComeAcross.  I recommend reading his article on last night’s meetup with FeedBurner in DC.  He took lot’s of great photos.  There are also some pictures up at FeedBurner’s Flickr account.

  • No problem Raoul. Your post about the meeting was much better than mine anyway.

By the way, thanks for stopping by Fat Pitch Financials.
