Cigars for everyone! The Fat Pitch Financials’ family has added a new member today. We are the proud parents of a new healthy baby girl! As we recover from all the activity around here, please enjoy the archives.

I’m need to start thinking about what I’m going to do special with her Coverdell Education Savings Account. Share your suggestions.

  • Thanks for all the nice thought everyone. Everyone is home today and doing well.

I like the Berkshire baby idea, but I’m not sure it is the best choice for a Coverdell ESA account. With a legal limit of only $2,000 a year that I can put into that account, I wouldn’t even be able to buy one share in the first year. However, Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.b) stock might make sense for any investments I make beyond the Coverdell ESA annual limit.
