SEC Public Meeting on Changes to Sarbanes-Oxley Rules for Small Companies

I just noticed today in Barron’s that the SEC is having a public meeting this Wednesday regarding potential changes to Sarbanes-Oxley rules for small companies. I’m sorry about the last minute notice. I would really like to go to this meeting in Washington, DC, but I have a mandatory meeting in my office that day.

I encourage you to attend this meeting and voice your opinion on the impacts of the proposed changes on small investors. My bet is that no one will be at this meeting will be representing individual investors unless you can attend.

The written public comment period for this meeting closed on December 7, 2005. However, often agencies will consider comments received shortly after the deadline, especially if it is from an under represented group.
