Purchased Refocus Group Stock

Yesterday, I purchased 1,999 shares of Refocus Group (RFCG) for $0.23 a share in my Roth IRA account. This cost me a total of $467.72. I recently reported that Refocus Group was going private on my current going private transactions list. I decided to take advantage of this opportunity, but I had to do so in my Roth IRA since my son’s Coverdell ESA is currently out of cash.

Refocus plans on cashing out shareholders holding less than 2,000 shares. They are planning to offer $0.35 per share in cash. That is a 52 percent premium above what I paid for the shares. If I don’t incur any additional expenses, I plan on earning $231.93 on this trade.
