Lynch Interactive Purchase

With the cash I received for Color Imaging and Mercury Air Group, I went shopping today for a new opportunity. I went over to my list of current going private transactions in the Contributors’ Corner section of Fat Pitch Financials. Here’s what I found on the current going private transactions list:

October 3, 2005
Lynch Interactive (LIC)
Method: Reverse Stock Split
Tender Limit: Less than 100
Tender Price: $29.00
Closing Price: $25.77
Potential Gain: 12.5%
Broker Held Shares: OK
Vote Date: October, 31, 2005
Going Private Phase:Definitive Proxy
SEC Filings: SC 13E3/A Preliminary Proxy Definitive Proxy
Notes: “the greater of (i) $29.00 or (ii) 120% of the average of the closing prices per share of our Common Stock on the AMEX over the 20 days immediately preceding the Effective Date on which the shares of Common Stock were actually traded.”

I purchased 85 shares of (LIC) for $25.70 per share for a total cost of $2,191.45. Hopefully, I will receive at least $2,465 in cash for within two months for my 85 shares of Lynch Interactive.

If you are interested in reviewing an up-to-date list of current going private transactions with the same detail as the Lynch Interative example above, please consider contributing to Fat Pitch Financials.

  • Ariel -

The best place to start looking (not that I’m unbiased) for reverse split going private transactions is in the Fat Pitch Financials Contributors’ Corner. I have a list of over 40 opportunities that are currently available. If you find an opportunity not on my list, I would love to hear about it so I can added to the list. Thank you for offering to help.

  • I have an opportunity that is not on your list.

You must pay me $5 for it though.

    Just kidding buddy.

  • Oh, a wise guy I see… You should give my going private transactions list a try. It will probably save you some time and help you generate some profit from arbitrage opportunities you might not be aware of.

It’s possible I miss an opportunity or two, but usually someone let’s me know when I’m missing something.

  • I haven’t seen cash for LIC yet. It should be coming soon though.
