According to "T Value" your compounded rate of return is 17.34%. That is assuming that you deposited 2000.00 on 10/19/04 and now have 2,329.53 (ignoring the 2000 you put in for this year.)
Keep it up

Charles and Cliff,
Thanks for stopping by. I do plan on keeping everyone posted on how my son's Coverdell ESA is working out.

Keep in mind that the main reason the return so far has been around 8 percent is because of Central Federal Corp.'s cancelled transaction.

Very good, you can also use an IRA or a Roth IRA account. We have several accounts at Schwab and have been doing this type of thing in each of them as they (so far) have been treated as seperate holdings.
CB
P.S. Keep us posted on how your Coverdale is working out.

Its nice to see a real history of these types of transactions. I also have been meddling in this stuff and some have worked out better then others. The 8% return is interesting. I always feel like I'm making huge percentages on these trades. The problem for me is they are a hassle, limited investment opportunity, and the time period for these deals are always up in the air.
